Media Specialist: Susan Williams
“My philosophy of the Media Center is to encourage the love of reading in all of our students. I am here to guide and direct students in their reading selections and enable an appreciation for the written word. After all, a book can open doors that otherwise we may never walk through. Books encourage the use of our imagination and expands our knowledge in many areas. Reading is the key to all successful learning.”

CIRCULATION POLICY
Students in 2nd – 5th grades may check out 3 books at a time for a 2 week period. We encourage students to return the books as soon as they are finished with them. This allows other students to have access to the materials instead of the book just sitting in someone’s desk. Books may be renewed if more time is needed. Kindergarten and 1st grade may check out 2 books at a time for a 2 week period unless they are participating in Accelerated Reading, then they are allowed to check out 3 books. Again, please have your child return the book as soon as they have finished reading it. Students are not fined for overdue books, however, they are expected to return them on time, so others can borrow them. Students with an overdue book are expected to return it before checking out additional books. Lost or damaged books must be paid for before any other materials may be borrowed from the media center.
